Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, a university professor, researcher, and regional expert in education quality. He served as a consultant for UNICEF in the Child-Friendly Schools project and is a certified evaluator in quality management systems in education. He has published numerous scientific papers and books in the field of education quality (his latest book: “Quality in Early Childhood Education: Theory and Practice”). He is a certified assessor by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).
His research interests focus on education quality and excellence, green education and sustainability, creativity and innovation in education, and especially the quality of early childhood care and education.
He currently leads several regional research projects, including standards for quality education during crises and emergencies, and the Regional Network for Green Schools project.

Prof. Anies Al-Hroub is a Professor in Educational Psychology and Special Education, a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, and the elected President of the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children (WCGTC) for the 2025–2029 term. He previously served as Chairperson of the Department of Education at the American University of Beirut (2015–2018).
He holds a Ph.D. and MPhil in Special Education from the University of Cambridge, an M.A. in Special Education, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Jordan.
His research focuses on vulnerable and marginalized populations, twice-exceptional and special needs children, inclusive education, and gifted learners. His work has been published in leading international journals and across five major books.
Prof. Al-Hroub has led major education projects supported by UNICEF, UNRWA, UNESCO, the British Academy, USAID, the World Bank, and the European Union. He also serves as the co-founding academic advisor of the Middle East Professional Learning Initiative (MEPLI) at Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Prof. Anasse Bouhlal has over 30 years of experience in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Higher Education across Finland and several EU countries. He has worked with UNESCO in Paris, Lebanon, and Doha, and previously served four years with the Ministry of Higher Education in the Sultanate of Oman as Director of Engineering Programs.
In Finland, he worked as a Professor at Tampere University (TAMK). He was elected as a Member of the Management Board and Senate of the Euro-Mediterranean University in Slovenia.
Prof. Bouhlal has also served as a visiting Professor at the Bordeaux School of Management and Le Havre University in France. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East.
